Hello race fans and welcome to Race Hub for Round 5 of the 2019 Monster Energy AMA Supercross an FIM World Championship! It’s been a whirlwind season through four rounds and we are locked tight with four points separating four riders! There have been two first time winners and Cooper Webb in his 3rd season in the 450SX class has broken out and won two in row while also taking command of the 450SX points lead! Two points behind him is Ken Roczen who has yet to win in 2019 but has been strong and consistent. In 2018 at this very same event, Webb and Roczen had drama when the two exchanged a pair of block passes with the second one taking both riders down. This resulted in a badly broken hand for Roczen and forced him to exit the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross Championship. As irony has it, the two enter the same race one year later 1st and 2nd in the championship. It’s going to be a big day of Monster Energy Supercross in San Diego! In addition, it is Military Appreciation night and most of the bikes are dressed up in military themed graphics. Stay tuned to Race Hub all day long for updates.
