450SX Class Recap: Foxborough
Webb/Lawrence: Cooper Webb scored his 25th 450SX Class victory with a wire-to-wire win in Gillette Stadium. With his fourth win of the season, Webb is now only two wins behind Bob Hannah for ninth on the all-time 450SX Class wins list. He is alone in 10th on Yamaha’s 450SX Class win list with four. Webb also scored his 61st podium and 80th top five in the victory. Jett Lawrence rode to the 10th top-five finish of his rookie season but watched the 21-point lead he held after round 10 evaporate completely in rds. 11-13. Webb and Lawrence will share the red plate in Nashville.
Chase Sexton: Sexton fell one second shy of being victorious in Foxborough settling instead for his 31st 450SX Class podium, good for 30th all-time. Sexton has five podiums on the season and trails the red-plate duo by 15 points. He has won two titles (2019 Eastern Regional & 2023 450SX Class) in which trailing by 20+ points when entering the Nashville round.
Ken Roczen: Roczen rode to his sixth podium of the season with a third-place finish in Foxborough. He has 69 450SX Class podiums and 96 top fives in 146 starts. Nobody has scored more than six 450SX Class podiums on a Suzuki since Roczen in 2016, his last stint on yellow. He scored six last year as well on a Suzuki.
Notes: Jason Anderson (4th) Seventh top-five finish of the season, 88th of his 450SX Class career, and 150th of his AMA career. He is two top fives behind Jeff Ward for ninth on the all-time list. Eli Tomac (6th) Scored his 160th 450SX Class top 10 finish, good for fifth all-time, three behind Jeremy McGrath for fourth. Justin Hill (9th) Earned his first top 10 of the season and 23rd across his 59 450SX Class starts. Malcolm Stewart (10th) Made his 100th 450SX Class start and earned his 60th top-10. He is tied with Steve Lamson for 46th in all-time 450SX Class top 10s and became the 46th different rider to make 100 450SX Class starts. Kyle Chisholm (17th) Ties Heath Voss for 10th on the all-time 450SX Class starts list.
450SX Class: Nashville Historical Facts
2019 Nashville: The first 450SX Class round held in Nashville was on April 6, 2019, and Eli Tomac won on a Kawasaki. Tomac and Marvin Musquin were tied in second behind Webb by 21 points after the round, and Webb held them off for the Championship. 2019 Nashville was the 14th round of the season, just like 2024. Nashville became the 47th different city to host a 450SX Class round and Nissan Stadium became the 59th different venue to host in 2019.
2023 Nashville: The 2023 Nashville Supercross marked the second time Supercross visited Nissan Stadium and was the 15th round of the season. Tomac led the Championship by 11 points over Webb and 21 over Chase Sexton with three rounds remaining. Unfortunately, Webb was injured in his Heat Race, leaving the Championship battle to Tomac and Sexton. Sexton scored the Nashville victory and the title after Tomac suffered an injury in the penultimate Denver round.
Tennessee Tied: For the third time in his career Webb heads into the Music City sweating a tight points race. He finished third in 2019 Nashville sustaining his title run but ended his season in the Heat Race of the 2023 Nashville Supercross. Webb has tied Jett Lawrence in the points going into the 14th round of the season, with Sexton 15 points behind (he was 21 behind going into Nashville 2023, and eventually won the Championship). The 450SX Class Championship has never been tied going into the 14th round of a season. 1992 was the previous closest, with Jean-Michel Bayle leading Jeff Stanton by two points going into the 14th round. 2017 is the next closest when Ryan Dungey led Tomac by four points after 13 rounds.
Championship %: After Sexton’s improbable Championship comeback last season, including his Nashville win, Nissan Stadium is now 1/2 with winners taking the title. Tomac was unsuccessful in 2019 after taking the Nashville victory. 2024 will mark the third race held in Nissan Stadium, and the first in consecutive seasons.

Haiden Deegan: Deegan rolled to his second 250SX Class victory to reel in McAdoo in the Championship by 13 going to Nashville. Deegan now has five wins since he began his professional career: two 250SX Class, two 250 Motocross, and the SMX Playoff Final in L.A. to cap off the season.
Cameron McAdoo: Cameron McAdoo retains the red plate with a runner-up ride in Foxborough. His 22nd career 250SX Class podium moves him into the top 10 on the all-time list, one behind moving into a tie for fifth. He made his 85th AMA start and is seeking his 50th 250SX Class start in Nashville.
Tom Vialle: Vialle podiumed for the fifth time on the season and is only four points off the red plate going into Nashville. The Frenchman has been incredibly durable over the last four years. After missing round four of the 2021 MXGP Championship, he reeled off 14 starts in a row to finish third in the points. He also competed in the MXoN for Team France, where they finished fifth overall. He would compete in all 18 2022 MXGP events scoring the MX2 title, but was left off the MXoN roster. Vialle made all 24 SMX starts in the 250 Class last season and re-joined Team France in the MXoN where he helped them capture second overall. This season he has made all six Eastern Regional rounds, meaning he has made 64 straight starts, only missing the 2022 MXoN, since 2021 across five disciplines of Professional Motocross competition.
Notes: Pierce Brown (4th) Only rider to be in the top five for each Eastern Regional round. Is now 18/32 in 250SX Class top-five finishes in career. Max Anstie (5th) Second top-five finish on the season for the former points leader. Anstie has 11 top fives in 32 250SX Class starts and is looking to make his 90th AMA start in Nashville. Casey Cochran (15th) and Thomas Welch (21st) Made their first career 250SX Class starts. Cochran is a Factory Husqvarna rookie who won the 2023 Salt Lake City Futures round. Welch is a privateer KTM athlete with Supercross Futures experiences as well, with a father who has a Professional career dating from 1991-2005 (Tom Welch).
250SX Class: Nashville Historical Facts
2019 Nashville: The first 250SX Class round held in Nashville was on April 6, 2019, and Martin Davalos won on a Kawasaki. Going into Nashville, Austin Forkner held a 26-point lead on Sexton with only three rounds remaining in the Eastern Regional 250SX Class Championship. Forkner sustained an injury during practice, while Sexton’s runner-up moved him into position to capture the red-plate one Eastern round later. Both times Sexton has visited Nashville he had a large points deficit, only to erase it and win the title (2019 Eastern Regional, 2023 450SX Class).
2023 Nashville: Hunter Lawrence clinched the 2023 Eastern Regional 250SX Class title with his victory in Nissan Stadium last year. It was the last 250SX Class victory of his career before moving into the 450SX Class for 2024. Haiden Deegan (4th), Max Anstie (5th), Tom Vialle (7th), and Henry Miller (9th) were also in the top 10 last season in Nashville and are looking to line up in Nissan Stadium this season.
Inside the Numbers: Nashville became the 39th different city to host a 250SX Class round and Nissan Stadium the 53rd different venue to host one in 2019. Birmingham, Alabama’s Protective Stadium became the 41st city and 57th different venue to host a 250SX Class round when they hosted round nine of this season.
Championship %: H. Lawrence’s title clinch in Nissan Stadium last year buoyed Nashville’s Championship % to 1/2, as Davalos did not win the title in 2019 after winning Nashville. Combined with the 450SX Class, the Championship % is 2/4.
