Daytona International Speedway has released the animated track map for Round 10 of the Monster Energy Supercross Championship.
Designed by five-time Supercross champion Ricky Carmichael, the track features unique off-camber rhythms, tight left-right sections and sand elements.
“It is so grueling,” Carmichael said of the course. “The sand and the clay mixed in, there’s not a lot of things that you really need to do to make it any more grueling than Daytona Supercross is already recognized for, but it sure is a fun challenge to make it somewhat fun for the riders.”
In addition, Daytona SX is known for a much longer track than an average Supercross event, meaning lengthier and more taxing races. With Saturday’s race running on the old lap format – 20 laps for 450SX Main Event and 15 laps for 250SX Main Event – expect this Daytona race to push the riders harder than ever before.
